Drugs Pass Review

By BLOOMBERG NEWS
Nexium and Prilosec, AstraZeneca’s top-selling acid-reflux drugs, do not increase heart risks, regulators concluded after a six-month review.
The Food and Drug Administration released the findings yesterday after an analysis of 16 studies submitted by AstraZeneca, based in London. The agency requested the information after two long-term studies the drug maker sent to regulators in May raised questions about whether the medicines increased the risk of heart attacks, heart failure and death.
